Financial Services - one of the UK's largest export industries is being transformed, and not just by global economic services.

Is this the most exciting time for Financial Services technology...ever? Is this the most exciting time for Financial Services technology...ever? Financial Services - one of the UK's largest export industries is being transformed - and not just by global economic forces. Innovative, competitive and disruptive technologies are not only taking over the sector's traditional heartland, the Square Mile, they're re-shaping the way that it engages across borders with businesses and with the consumer, challenging the traditional face of banking, finance, trading, investments and payments: setting the scene for a whole new era of innovation. Welcome to the FinTech revolution. For our first CEO Agenda event of 2013, hosted by the leader in global business and financial information, Bloomberg, ICON Corporate Finance, Fox Williams and Hotwire have invited a panel of superbrands including Google, O2 Money, Monitiseand Barclaycard to explore just how technology is redefining financial services and what it means for all of us. Panel Chaired by Elliott Gotkine, Bloomberg TV, Business Editor, will ask these and other questions:
  • Will the bank of the future be a technology business with a banking license?
  • If the UK is a world leading global financial centre - is it also a world-leading hub for financial services technology?
  • Current trends: Mobile Payments, Big Data, Security, Social Networks, Trading. What's the next big opportunity for FinTech innovators?
  • Banks, mobile operators, card providers, retailers? Who will win the battle of the digital wallet?
Chris Skinner, Founder of The Financial Services Club and renowned industry speaker, will give the keynote address on "How technology is disrupting and transforming global financial services". Once the panel debate ends around 18.30, the networking starts with drinks and a chance to experience Bloomberg's landmark City of London, HQ. Places at this invitation-only event are free, but limited. Our last event ‘sold out' in two days. So if you would like to be included on our invitee list please register your interest with Lisette Walker at ICON quickly to secure your place.
