Brian Parker

Co-Founder, Head of M&A

Brian is a founding Director of ICON and Head of Mergers and Acquisitions. He has over 30 years’ experience in investment banking, particularly with owner-managed technology companies.

An expert in advising shareholders of technology companies on their exit to both Private Equity and Trade Acquirers, Brian manages the entire exit process on sell-side deals. He has unrivalled knowledge right across the technology sector in both software and digital services.

Brian has led exits to large overseas acquirers such as: Accenture, Thomson Reuters, Canon, CACI and numerous niche tech companies like Calnex, Syniti and Gamma.

Brian has experience as both a buyer of and a sell-side adviser to high growth companies, completing transactions worldwide, including USA, France, Hong Kong, China, Ireland, and the USA.

Prior to working at ICON, Brian spent eight years in Hong Kong, latterly as Head of Equity Research for CLSA. Before that, he worked for two UK PLCs as their Head of Mergers and Acquisitions. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, and has a degree in Accounting & Finance BA (Hons) from the University of Kent.

Outside of work, Brian enjoys playing squash, paddle tennis and golf (handicap 6).
