Eddie joined ICON in May 2000 and has over 28 years’ corporate finance experience, advising on transactions ranging from trade sales, raising venture capital, management buy-outs, recapitalisations, international disposals, private placings and public company listings.

His sector focus includes: Enterprise Software, AI/DataTech, FinTech, HealthTech, Analytics s/w, HR Tech, Cybersecurity, Digital Media and MarTech/AdTech.

Since joining ICON, Eddie has completed over 75 transactions, including: the £55m sale of Digital Wealth Management software platform provider Parmenion to FTSE 100 listed Aberdeen Asset Management; the €22m Private Equity investment in FinTech Case Management software company Meritsoft by Synova Capital; the VC funding of Cloud Data Warehouse Integration software (ETL) company Matillion by YFM Equity Partners; the sale of Patient Feedback software company Optimum Contact to US-listed IQVIA; the €16m Series A Funding of Data Transformation software company Vaultspeed by Octopus Ventures; and the VC funding of AI-based Data Analytics HealthTech software company RwHealth by Guinness EIS Fund and Maven Capital Partners.

Prior to ICON, Eddie spent 7 years with Arthur Andersen, including two years as a Manager in the Corporate Finance team in Sydney and latterly as a Senior Manager in the Private Equity Transaction group in London. Whilst at Arthur Andersen, Eddie focused on technology, media and telecom (TMT) transactions including the £4.6Bn IPO of BSkyB (now Sky) and the $1bn buy out of Invensys’ IT business.

Eddie has an Economics and Accounting MA (Hons) degree from the University of Edinburgh and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW).
Outside of work, Eddie enjoys surfing, rugby, mountain biking, snowboarding and cold-water swimming.
