Join us for an update on recent trends in the UK Technology M&A market.

Given the wave of PE backed M&A activity in the sector, we are also delighted to be joined by the Heads of M&A at Civica (one of the largest PE backed technology companies) and ClearCourse (the most acquisitive company in the UK this year).

Guest Speakers:

Josh Rowe, Head of M&A at ClearCourse, formerly Head of M&A at KPMG and Callcredit, will share his experience of having acquired over 14 companies in the UK in just over a year. Its been a busy year for Josh, as ClearCourse were only formed last year, yet are by far the most active Tech acquirer in UK this year.

ClearCourse are backed by major US Private Equity House, Aquiline Capital Partners, a New York based private equity firm with AUM of approximately $3.5bn.

Robert Stroud, Corporate Development Director at Civica, will update on the growth of Civica in the decade he has been there leading their M&A program. Civica focuses on supplying software and related services to the public sector in the UK and overseas. Revenues exceed £250m and it now has over 3,000 employees worldwide. Civica is an acquisitive company, with 19 acquisitions completed since Robert joined back in 2009.

Civica has an interesting history, initially as a listed company, but has since been owned by 3i, OMERS (a Canadian pension fund) and now Partners Group (a $90bn US PE fund) following a £1bn SBO in July 2017
